Introduction
This article will provide instructions on how to troubleshoot issues that arise when changing your credit card details. More general information about HCP billing can be found here.
Prerequisites
Changing the payment options/credit card details is available to users with the Admin or Owner roles assigned to them.
Problem:
When entering the tax references (UK VAT) an error informs that the Tax ID is invalid and should be at least 9 digits.
Cause:
Although the VAT number itself is 9 digits long without the GB in front, the GB should be added in order to be validated.
Solutions:

Adding GB in front of the actual VAT ID e.g.: GB123456789
- Checking if the VAT number is correct via a trusted website such as the one provided by the UK Government.
Outcome:
The Tax ID is accepted and the credit card details are updated.
