Introduction
When upgrading to 1.13.x there is a known issue where builtin mounts are no longer able to be mounted in Vault. This causes Vault to seal itself.
Problem
In order to discover these plugins, you must be on version 1.12.x in order to use the -detailed flag with your list command, such as
Cause
- We have deprecated older versions of the builtin plugins that were deprecated prior to version 1.0.x.

Solutions:

In order to discover affected plugins, upgrade to version 1.12.x first, follow this guide then discover the builtin plugins either manually or programmatically by viewing the deprecation status field. You will need to reconfigure them with the newer versions of the plugins that are included with Vault.
- Once these plugins have been discovered and removed, please upgrade to version 1.13 or higher.
